The Design—Crochet Scarf Pattern
Elevate your seasonal style with this enchanting crochet scarf pattern, perfect for fall and winter. The ribbed texture and knit-like finish give this neck kerchief a dainty, feminine touch, making it both cute and practical. Its charming design pairs beautifully with any outfit, whether layered as a winter scarf or styled as a fall kerchief. Create a timeless, handcrafted piece that’s as stylish as it is cozy. Download the pattern today and bring this charming accessory to life!
The scarf is constructed flat in one piece with increases and decreases to create tapered shape, then finished with an applied i-cord border.
Fit + Sizing
Scarf is written for 2 sizes—Short or Long. Short is perfect for wearing in your hair, wrapped around your head, or long enough to wrap around your neck once. Long is long enough to wrap around your neck twice. Size (width and length) can easily be customized and adjusted for personal preference.

Materials
As written, you'll need category 3 DK weight yarn (11wpi) in the amounts of:
105(136)yds
Yardage noted includes additional 5yds beyond calculations needed for scarf.
Other materials you'll need:
(2) 4mm crochet hooks
tapestry needle
scissors
st markers
Gauge
21 sts x 17 rows = 4" square (blocked)
Yarn Substitutions
The yarn I used is Originally Lovely Cria in the color Lipstick. This yarn is labeled a worsted weight yarn, but because it's made from natural fibers (100% baby alpaca), many DK weight and some sport weight yarns could be subsituted. I'd recommend staying away from economy acrylic yarns like Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn and Red Heart Super Saver. They will be much too dense and thick for this project. Make sure you make a gauge swatch. Small differences in gauge can lead to big differences in project outcome. For more on gauge, you can read this blog.
